Minnesota Monthly Concert Calendar:If you like great music there is a lot to look forward to winter of 2012 and spring of 2013. There are some great local and national bands coming to town. If you love raw homespun blues August offered some great performances from local bluesman Charlie Parr (he'll be back in town at the 331 Club next May) check out his live performance of Cheap Wine in the video below. If you don't want to wait that long for good music December promises some super cool shows as well with a couple favorites of mine - Of Monsters and Men and Grouplove! And hey, if you like the rocken'est violin performance you've ever heard check out Lindsey Stirling at First Ave in March. Also in March is some funky British rock from Django Django - if you haven't heard about the Jang you should check them out because they have a delicious melt in your mouth 80's pop/rock vibe. A chill is in the air here in Minnesota so that means we just have to heat it up a bit with some hot bands in the months leading up to the winter freeze.
