Atmosphere, a group built on Hip Hop principles influenced from the pioneering years of rap music, but with their own personal, honest and original mid-western contribution. Comprised of Ant on production and Slug throwing out rhymes like candy this duo has taken the underground independent Hip Hop community by storm. In 1997 Slug, Ant and then member Spawn started Rhymesayers Entertainment, an independent Hip Hop label which has now blossomed into a Hip Hop community of more than twenty artists.

After Atmosphere's third album went indie triple platinum, these guys got offers from every major label in the business, but chose to remain independent and license their next album with the legendry punk label Epitaph. Always true to the roots of Hip Hop Atmosphere show just how to make it in this world dominated by major labels and still release the art as they envision it.

Just to prove the point their album "You Can’t Imagine How Much Fun We’re Having," took Hip Hop Recording of the Year at the 2006 Minnesota Music Awards, they also took home the award for song of the year with "Smart Went Crazy." Now that's a force to be reckoned with!

As a side note fellow Rhymesayers Entertainment Artist P.O.S. left the awards with Hip Hop artist of the year, and a Critics/Industry award for his album "Audition"
